Bobby put the hide-a-hose hoses into each outlet and hooked the vac system up to the shop vac to test suction, and they all slide in just beautifully. It was really quite impressive testing them out!

The hvac guy installed this dryer vent along the floor and commented to Bobby before he left that he'd probably have to come back and rip it all out. Well, what do you know, he was right. He knew perfectly well this was an inferior solution to running it up the wall and through the ceiling. (He said he didn't want to do it that way b/c it'd require 6 elbows, but notice that his solution also uses 6 elbows.) *

Yet more attempts to remove the wood from the chimney flue -- but they're finally making good progress. This time they had a 2-inch bit that was chopping through the wood like crazy.
